Germany
In Germany, Schaeffler operates 24 manufacturing plants. The Group’s headquarters are located in Herzogenaurach in Northern Bavaria. The sites in Herzogenaurach, Schweinfurt and Buehl are the largest production and development sites in Germany. Employees of the Schaeffler Group work on 13 research and development locations on progressive products and technologies. Whether it is bearings for high-speed trains and wind turbines or innovations for tomorrow’s automobile, Schaeffler is one of Germany’s most innovative companies.

Europe
In Europe, our 19 manufacturing plants and nine research and development locations are closely linked to the Schaeffler Group’s sites in Germany, both logistically and operationally. In addition to the large production sites in Western Europe – primarily in France, Italy and Spain – the Schaeffler Group has important manufacturing plants in Eastern Europe. Over the past few years, large plants have been built in the Czech Republic, Hungary, Romania and Slovakia. A significant number of distribution companies in nearly all European countries ensures full customer support with short response times.

Asia/Pacific
In Asia Pacific, our business activities are managed from our headquarters in Shanghai, People’s Republic of China, that were established in 2007. Schaeffler has further subsidiaries in Korea, Japan, Taiwan, the Philippines, Malaysia, Vietnam, Thailand, Singapore, Indonesia, Australia and India, which all provide full support throughout the region. Currently the Schaeffler Group has 13 production sites that provide direct support for the Automotive and Industrial divisions. In addition, ten regional development centers ensure that support is available to Asian customers quickly and for their specific application.

North America
In North America, Schaeffler has been firmly established for close to five decades. The regional headquarters are located in Fort Mill, South Carolina. Here Schaeffler has twelve, highly automated state-of-the-art production sites for the supply of customized and standard products to the North American market. The seven North American development centers are part of a global network of research and development facilities that promote dynamic technology transfer and permit the utilization of synergy effects. The Schaeffler Group’s R&D center in Troy, just outside of Detroit, Michigan, is only a short distance away from the big North American automobile manufacturers.

South America
In South America, Schaeffler has been present since 1958. With its headquarters in Sorocaba, Brazil, the Schaeffler Group is represented in South America’s most important automotive location. In Argentina, Chile, Colombia and Venezuela, the Schaeffler Group has established sales and engineering offices. Just like everywhere else, the Schaeffler Group has an excellent reputation in South America as a result of its customer focus and high-quality products.
